Objective: Describe the characteristics of the class amphibia.
Read from the book and answer the following questions:

1.Name the three orders of class Amphibia, an example of each, and their distinguishing characteristics.
2.One of the most important characteristics of amphibians is their skin. What are some of the functions of amphibians’ skin?
3.How is the skeleton of amphibians different from the skeleton of fish, and why does it need to be this way?
4.Describe how frogs catch prey with their tongues.
5.How do amphibians breathe? (Hint: There’s more than one way)
6.What do amphibians do to regulate water loss?  Why is this important?
7.Explain the reproduction and development of amphibians.
