Objective: Name and locate the major skeletal muscles of the cat, and relate them to the muscles of a human.
Cat Dissection - Day 1
Answer these questions:
1. Document your procedures for the day.
2. Which muscles that you saw today are also present in the human body?
3. Describe how their shape/location/position are the same or different (pick 2 or 3).
4. Why might some of these muscles be different?

7. Which organs can you see when you opened the abdominal cavity of the cat?
8. How do these organs compare in shape/position to human organs?

10. Find the diaphragm and describe its purpose.
11. Describe the structure of blood vessels.
12. Take out the small intestine and estimate its length.
13. How do the following systems of a cat compare to a human?
       a. Digestive system
       b. Respiratory system
       c. Cardiovascular system
14. Explain how dissecting a cat is beneficial to understanding the anatomy of the human body.
